Hillsborough Ave is full of mid-century, the city or fdot could provide facade grants to business owners to help clean up and restore their now historic building facades. The former Sears, now Hi-Tech school is a mid-century architectural gem that can be spruced up. Highlighting the history and charm of the strip as one of Tampa's main retail corridors in the 1950s could help provide a sense of place for the corridor and encourage redevelopment of vacant lots.
